Oh Crap!!!

I am so sorry for not posting in a while I have been so busy!!!! It has been 2 months since my last update!!!  I am sorry for all of that every one!!!!

First, we got a baby bunny!  He is the cutest thing in the world!  His  name is Ragnorok.  It is a Norwegien name and a name from the anima show that my owner really likes.  He is mostly white with a light brown spot on his back and around his eyes.  He loves to hop around the apartment.  He isn't potty trained yet (yes you can potty train bunnies), so he sometimes forgets where his potty is.  He doesn't like Rachel, my owner, but he does like my owners boyfriend, Ross.  Sometimes the silly bunny will pee on the bed right next to where I SLEEP!!!!!!!  It is so yucky!  But Rachel always washes the sheets right away.  She is so kool!

Her work has been super crazy especially these past 2 weeks.  She found out that one of her co-workers was quitting at the end of December.  Her co-worker left on Friday and she was sad to see her leave but they did fill the position right away.  Here new co-worker is just graduating college and very new to teaching.  It is cute to see her learn how be a teacher.  As well as it being the end of the month and the normal busyness she also has the busyness of a speech contest!  But instead of planing this contest months in advance we have really one been planning for the last 3 weeks.  At least that is what Rachel knows.  She isn't really told a lot about what is going on at work.  But I think it is because they don't know how to translate some words.  But that is okay as long as the kids are learning English!

The holidays have been a little hard for Rachel.  Her Great-grandmother died the week before Thanksgiving and she wasn't able to attend the funeral.  However she was able to record a song for the funeral.  There are so many family traditions that we missed out on.  But that is okay we are being grown-ups here in Korea.  She did get a wonderful gift from her grandparents.  She also got the most beautiful, amazing, wonderful Sapphire necklace from her handsome wonderful boyfriend!  Also we stayed up the whole day celebrating our first Christmas together!

It was also my 24th birthday on Christmas day!  Yep that is right I have been with the same owner for 24 years!!  How awesome is that!!!!

I will Post much sooner next time!  Thank you every one for following!!

Whoa have I been busy!!!!

Teaching every day has really made my owner tired!!  We tend to sleep a lot and forget to update important things, like this blog.  We have been trying to make this tiny apartment a home.  When we first got here we didn't have an oven.  But now we do!!!!!!!  It is super awesome and really pretty!!  All the appliances are covered in flowers and other stuff.  Also my owner's boyfriend is here so we have been keeping him very busy.  We went to Ilsan last weekend and it is very big!  Many people in the bigger cities speak better English then they do in the smaller cities.  I am glad for that because now we won't always be lost!  Not that we were ever lost, I think.  I need to put up some pictures so you know what it is like here!  So far we are enjoying traveling and we are thinking that traveling is the best thing for us.  There are so many wonderful things that I wish to show all of you!  Well it is late and we need to go to sleep now!  There is work tomorrow and my owner needs to teach the Asian babies!!!

A Month of Mischief

Sorry that I haven't written in a while, Teddy Bears don't have the best memories.  Over the past few months my owner and I have gotten very close with the a few of the Americans.  My owner was afraid that she would be alone on her birthday but our American friends wouldn't let that happen.  They had a little birthday party for her.  It was very fun.  Work is a lot of fun as well!  There are a lot of funny kids.  They don't really understand sarcasm so it is very difficult to joke with them.  My owners boss has sat in a few of her classes and told her that she is doing a very good job.  The kids love her classes.  She thinkis it is because she lets them play games a lot of the time.

The weekends are very welcomed.  By the end of the week we are very tired.  We normally get together with the Americans just so we can speak English again.  Speaking broken English all day everyday is makes you feel like you have forgotten all the English that you know.  We are learning Korean.  I am doing much better then my owner but she does work more then me.  Hehe!  We are having a lot of fun here but we are sometimes lonely.  Thank goodness for the internet!!  Well it is time to get ready for work now.  Talk to you all very soon!  Love and hugs!!

First Week!!

So my owner and I have been here a whole week!!!!!  It has been super exciting but also very lonely.  We have been watching a lot of movies.  But we did meet up with some Americans this weekend!  They are very nice and they showed us to the major points that will be useful.  Mainly to the one store that is a lot like Wal-mart!  The kids are so cute!  I thought there would be a very big difference in how children looked and behaved in Korea but There really isn't!  I think that it is awesome how similar all people are.  This week we have learned that it really doesn't matter where you go in the world every one is the same.  I like it!

The most difficult thing for my owner is trying to find something to eat.  I am glad that I don't have to eat!  It is funny when she comes back from the store, because she is mostly giggling at how she really needs to learn at least how to read some words.  I tell that might be useful since you are going to be here for a while.  There is one little bakery that prints all in English and that is where she goes to buy peanut butter and bread.  The bread smells so very yummy!! But it only last for about a week because it is so humid, so we keep it in the fridge!

Even though it is lonely we still like the space and the freedom of life!  Our lives are going to change 100% this year!

We are here!

We have arrived here in Korea!!!  It is super different and not different all at the same time.  This biggest difference beside the language is the food.  We have been trying to figure out what foods are.  The pictures help a ton!!  One food item that I was in shock about was the bread.  They do not carry bread in the regular super markets.  Although the super markets are more like small Harding's.

The people here are very friendly.  They like to help as much as they can.  One thing that I am concerned about is the hot water.  So far I don't have hot water but I don't know if that is because there is hot water like there is in American or if the hot water heater is not working.  Oh well I am okay with a little bit of a cold shower for now, I think.

Tomorrow I will be going on an adventure!  But I am not going to tell you what it is because that is a surprise.  It is going to be epic!!!!!!!!

On our way!

Tuesday August 9th at 5:45 AM we took off from the Detroit airport!  It was a very short flight in a very small plane.  We landed in Chicago and we ran to the next gate.  We then got on the plane to  Los Angeles!  This was the first time I have ever been to California!  We are in a wonderful hotel!  The king size bed is so comfy and big!  As wonderful as LA is it is WAY to expensive!  We went to the Korean Consulate and everything was in Korean.  But that was to be expected.  We are leaving for Korea at 12:20 AM.  My owner is super nervous but I am happy to be visiting the place I was originally "born."  She misses her family and friends a lot!  Good thing I am going with to keep her company!  The plane ride is going to be 14 hours long and we are going to lose a whole day!  But we will be sleeping most of the way so we should be a little rested.  Well we need to get ready to go!  See you in a day or two!

First things first

Hello, my name is Teddy R. Bear.  I currently live in Kalamazoo Michigan with my owner.  My owner and I have been together for the last 23 almost 24 years.  I was her Christmas present from her aunt.  Over the last few months we have been getting ready for our biggest journey yet.  We are moving to South Korea!  She is going over there to teach Conversational English.  She tells people that she is going to teach little Asian babies.  I think she is very funny.  I am not nervous about going over there at all but she is a very nervous.  She gets really homesick because she is very close to her family.  I am going to help her through all of the homesickness.  There are going to be a ton of adventures and stories that I will let you all know.  As of right now we are just waiting for the teaching visa to get finished.  I can't wait!!!!!!!!
